A Little Prayer

Hello. lovely blogger friends.
I hope you are well.
I starting making my Christmas cards earlier in the  year as last year I was so overwhelmed with the amount of people who work with my husband asking me to make them one of my hand made cards. This made me so happy as previous years I struggled to sell any of my cards on Etsy or Ebay.
This year has been a great year as so many of my husbands work colleagues have placed orders for me to make cards for various occasions. For this I am very grateful.
I have received an order for 15 Christmas cards. This one that I am sharing today is the 9th one on my list. Only 6 more to make plus I have another 2 Birthday cards to make before Hubby and I depart for our first ever Mediterranean cruise in just over 2 weeks time. Yippee! Lol!!! It has been 6 years since we last had a holiday which is why I'm so excited. Can you tell? Okay, that's enough waffling!
Now on to my card.

I used A Little Prayer from LOTV
The image is stamped with Memento rich cocoa ink onto Neenah cardstock and cut out using a CartUs oval.
I have coloured the image with Prismacolor and Polychromos pencils and matted the finished image onto a Joy Crafts Noor Design oval.

For my shaped card I used GoKreate large frame frilly #2 and Maja Design Enjoying Outdoors papers from LLC
Other dies used are Joy Crafts edge border 5,Christmas Winter, Vintage flourishes holly leaves and ice crystals circle. Marianne Design Ivy circle, On The Edge snow flurries and Cheery Lynn French pastry doily.
I have inked the die cuts with SSS lavender ink pad.
The Marie Therese lace and 10mm double row white pearl trim are from LLC

A couple of close ups of the cherub and small embellishment arrangement.
I made the cherub with a silicone mould and Martha Stewart crafter's clay.
The Lilac Vintage paper straws, liberty bells, Lilac 20mm open rose and white flower spray are from LLC The hemp twine that I used to tie the liberty bells is from The Ribbon Girl
I have coated the bells and flowers with Snow - Tex

The flower arrangement consists of  a 30mm Lilac wild rose, Lilac 20mm open roses, white flower spray and larch cone are from LLC
The white beaded stamens and  Lilac 15mm open rose are from WOC.
The white Kort & Godt Chrysanthemum is from The Ribbon Girl
The arrangement has been coated with Snow - Tex

I surrounded the image with Frantage shabby white embossing enamel and 3mm lilac s/a earl flatbacks. The 3mm x 5mm oval white pearl string around the outside of the image is from
I coated the angel's wings, stars in her hair and snow on the ground with ArtDeco glamour dust.

Inside the card is decorated with design paper and a Spellbinders floral oval

I am entering my Christmas card into the following super challenges;

  1. Donna, this is completely magical... what a gorgeous design around this precious angel. I love the use of purple on wintry cards and yours is especially stunning. This will be treasured by the recipient and I am so happy that you get so many orders. It's certainly not surprising, as your cards are gifts in and of themselves. :o) Exquisite work, my friend. I'm excited for your upcoming holiday and can't wait to hear all about it when you return. :o) Have a beautiful day, Donna. And thank you for sharing your gorgeous work with us at Deep Ocean Challenge! :o)
