Swedish House Crafts - A Fish Kisses To Tilda - Desktop Calendar & Tutorial

Hello. lovely blogger friend's.
I hope you are well?

I'm here with my project for Swedish House Crafts blog.

I have made a desktop calendar, and featured one of the new Magnolia You're Invited 2018 collection stamps, which are available to pre order in store now. The stamp is called "A Fish Kisses to Tilda" Isn't she adorable???

I used Pion Design "Legends of the Sea" 12" x 12" complete collection papers. The complete collection are currently on sale in store at a great discounted price.

Links to the products are in text, and can be found at the end of this post.

I matted the calendar tab onto white card, and design papers placing a piece of white cheesecloth underneath. I used a selection of flowers from my stash, and positioned foliage between them using Gummiapan little twigs die. The pretty lace, and bronze anchor charm are also from my stash.

I stamped the image onto Bristol board extra smooth cardstock, and cut out using Gummiapan stitched rectangle. I stamped around the outside of the rectangle using Gummiapan Stockholm post stamp. I coloured the image with prismacolor and Polychromos pencils.

I sprinkled a little shabby white embossing enamel around the inside of the rectangle, and adhered it onto a larger stitched rectangle with 2mm foam tape, placing Gummiapan hen net between the two layers.

I've put together a tutorial for you on how to make a desktop calendar

You will need:
1 piece of white A4 card
21cm x 14cm strip of white card
2018 calendar tab
Score board
Paper trimmer
Pencil
Ruler Glue/sticky tape

Position a sheet of white A4 card landscape onto the score board, and score down the centre

Fold in half as seen in the above photo, and put to one side for later

Cut a strip of white card to measure 21cm x 14cm

Position the card portrait on the score board, and score at 2cm, 7cm, and 12cm.

Acordian fold as shown above

Take the card that you folded in half earlier, and adgere the 2cm scored tab to the inside bottom of the card.
Acordian fold, and repeat with the other end so the tabs match up either end.

This is how the desktop calendar will look after it has been assembled

Swedish House Crafts - Pion Design - Where The Roses Grow!

Hello, lovely blogger friend's.

I'm on Swedish House Crafts blog today.

I have made a pretty feminine card with the gorgeous collection of Pion Design papers called
"Where The Roses Grow"

Links to the products are in text, and can be found at the end of my post.

I used Gummiapan old paper die to cut the base and layer the papers onto the card. I also used Gummiapan nesting stitched circles to matt the papers onto the centre of the card.

I used the gorgeous Roxstamps Curlicue decor edge die to cut the design paper, and fixed it behind the card front at the top.

I embellished the curlicue decor edge with 3mm s/a pearl flatbacks from my stash!

The image that I chose to use is one of three that are in the set. I love them all.

I used one of the Gummiapan nesting stiched rectangle dies to cut out the image.

I placed foliage between the flower arrangement using the Gummiapan twig pointy leaves, and little twigs dies.

I placed a couple of Gummiapan doodle circles, also cut with the design papers from the collection, between the stitched squares above the arrangement.

The beaded berries, and off white flowers with curls are available from the store.

All the other flowers are from my stash!

The rose water bottle, tag, border, and butterflies are included in the complete collection along with lots of other gorgeous designs on the sheets.

Inside the card is decorated to complement the front.

Gingerbread Tilda - January 2018 Challenge At LHOSM

Hello, lovely blogger friend's.
Happy New Year!

It's time for our first challenge of 2018 over on the Lovely Haenglar or Sweet Magnolia blog
Our challenge theme is.....................ANYTHING GOES
Our wonderful sponsor is Wild Orchid Crafts

I'm sharing the Christmas card that I made last year for my Mum

I used Gingerbread Tilda from Magnolia Christmas party 2017 Collection.
The image is stamped with Memento rich cocoa ink onto Bristol board extra smooth cardstock.
I coloured Tilda with Prismacolor, and polychromos pencils, and fussy cut around her!

For the shape of my card I used Gummiapan Old Paper die, and Maja Design "Home for the Holidays" papers.
Other dies used are; Cheery Lynn English tea party doily, Sizzix holiday greens, Gummiapan nesting stitched squares, and button heart. Bird houses, swirl, and garland from Doohickey club vol 17 Christmas/Winter 2017.

The sentiment holiday wishes kit is also from Christmas Party collection.
I used Gummiapan stitched square die, and stamped the holiday wishes kit onto the centre using Memento rich cocoa ink, and sprinkled around the inside with shabby white embossing enamel.
I then matted it onto a larger stitched square with 2mm foam tape.
I decorated the top of the sentiment using the garland die from vol 17, and used the Gummiapan heart button die at the bottom, tied with a piece of red thread.

A close look at the flower arrangement.
The berries, wooden pine cones, and white paper flower/curls are from Swedish House Crafts.
The 35mm curly red rose, 30mm 2 tone brown rose, white flower spray, and 15mm olive green rose are all from my stash.
I placed the holly that I die cut from Sizzix holiday greens in between the arrangement.

A close look at Gingerbread Tilda.
I dotted Tilda's cheeks with a white gelly roll pen, and added glamour dust to the pom pom on her hat, and the heart inside the pocket.

Inside the card is decorated to complement the front.
