Swedish House Crafts Father Christmas "Jultomten" Using Maja Design papers

Hello, lovely blogger friend's.
It's my turn to showcase my creation on the Swedish House crafts blog today.

I have made a Christmas card using one of the gorgeous die cut images from Maja Design "Vintage Frost Basics" collection.

If you are wondering about the title? Father Christmas, Jultomten, also known simply as "Tomten" is Sweden's Father Christmas. Visiting the houses in the afternoon on Christmas Eve (when Christmas in Sweden is celebrated) to distribute presents to children.

Links to the products can be found in text at the end of my post.

Here is a closer look at Father Christmas. Sweden's "Tomten".

I used Gummiapan old paper die to cut the base of my card, and layer the papers which are also from Maja Designs "Vintage Frost Basics" collection. The postcard image is also from the images die cut sheet.

I used Tim Holtz Vintage photo distress ink to ink the edges of everything on my card apart from the flowers, and foliage. Everything has had a dusting of Snow-Tex. The pretty lace along the bottom of the card is from my stash.

I used my own poinsettia die, and "Vintage Frost Basics" papers to make the flowers. The stamens, wooden pine cones, and pomegranate apples are from the store.

For the Christmas trees, I used Gummiapan Christmas tree die, and matching scripted Christmas tree stamp. I placed a die cut star on top of the trees and adhered a 3mm white pearl in the centre.

Inside the card is decorated to complement the front.

I have coloured the image with Prismacolor & Polychromos pencils.

I lightly sanded the edges of the papers.

Swedish House Crafts - Gummiapan Sweet Girl Ellie With Snowman

Hello, lovely blogger friend's!

I'm here with my DT card for Swedish House Crafts.
I have made a Christmas card featuring one of the gorgeous stamps by Gummiapan. The stamp that I chose to colour is called Sweet Girl Ellie With Snowman. Aren't they just the sweetest duo?

I have used many other gorgeous products on my card that are available from the store.

Links to the products are in text, and can be found at the end of my post.

For the shape of my card I used Gummiapan old paper die, and Maja Design "Vintage Frost Basic" 6 x 6 paper stack. I have also cut the papers using the old paper die. The snowflakes in the top left hand corner of the card have been die cut using Gummiapan snowflake. The pretty lace, and pearl trim are from my stash.
Other dies that I used from my stash are; Marianne Design Anja's Vintage decoration and Ivy circle.
Spirit of Christmas snowflake border, Cheery Lynn English tea party doily, Joy Crafts Winter sentiment, and Sizzix holiday greens.

I stamped the image onto Bristol board extra smooth cardstock with Memento toffee crunch ink, and coloured the image with Prismacolor and Polychromos pencils.

I used a Roxstamps stitched circle die to cut white card, and stamped around the inside of it with the Gummiapan Angelpost stamp. I inked the outside of the circle with Vintage photo distress ink, and sprinkled a little shabby white embossing enamel inside the circle.

I die cut a larger stitched circle with the design paper, and matted the smaller one onto it with 3D foam tape. I cut around the image, and adhered it to the circle with 3D foam tape I coated the snowman with glamour dust to give a nice sparkly effect, and adhered some micro beads to look like bird seed onto the centre of the snowman's hand. I used Snow-Tex on the ground. The pearl bead string that I have adhered around the outside is from my stash.

I built the snowman using the metal dies from Doohickey club vol 12 Christmas 2016. I die cut the snowman's head and body with white card, and coated them with glamour dust. I adhered a piece of black card behind the snowman's face so that his eyes and mouth could be seen. I coloured the nose and cut the twigs, and heart using the design papers. I assembled him with 3D foam tape.

Vol 12 isn't available to buy anymore as the collections are limited edition, but vol 16, and 17 are currently available to pre order from Swedish House Crafts. Vol 16 is "Fall In Love", and Vol 17 is "Christmas & Winter".

I used a selection of flowers for the arrangements. The large rose, 25mm rose, and white flower spray are from my stash. The pine cones, and curled paper flowers are from the store. I have given the arrangements a light coating with Snow-Tex.

Inside the card is decorated to complement the front.
I hope I have inspired you to make something Christmassy with the products that I used?

Thank you for stopping by to visit today!
Big hugs for all the lovely comments.
